CLASSIC FILMS AND MODERN FAVORITES SQUARE OFF ON HDNET MOVIES IN AN ALL-NEW INTERACTIVE “MARCH MOVIE MADNESS” LINEUP STARTING MONDAY, MARCH 14 AT 8pE

The Eight-Night Event Pits 16 Films Against Each Other in Matchups That Include HANNIBAL vs. RED DRAGON, CONAN THE BARBARIAN vs. CONAN THE DESTROYER, and DETROIT ROCK CITY vs. ANIMAL HOUSE

Los Angeles – March 3, 2016 – Suit up for a Sweet 16 lineup of film favorites in HDNET MOVIES’ interactive “March Movie Madness” event. For eight nights, starting Monday, March 14, at 8pE, 16 hit films go head-to-head, with two films competing each night. Through HDNET MOVIES’ Facebook and Twitter pages, viewers are invited to vote for their favorite competitor each day to determine which film will rise to the top as the champion. After all 16 films have aired and the eight finalists have been chosen, the competition continues online as viewers cut the list down to four, then two, and then one final champion.

Mon., Mar. 14 at 8pE—PRIMAL FEAR vs. WILD THINGS

Teenage psychos square off in this night of thrills starring Edward Norton as an altar boy accused of a grisly murder in PRIMAL FEAR, withRichard Gere. And Matt Dillon must clear his name when high school sirens Neve Campbell and Denise Richards accuse him of assault in WILD THINGS, at 10:15pE.

Tues., Mar. 15 at 8pE—MAVERICK vs. THE WILD BUNCH

Saddle up for a regular Old West showdown, starring Mel Gibson as a scheming con in MAVERICK, with James Garner and Jodie Foster. Then, William Holden and Ernest Borgnine risk their lives to rescue a fallen comrade in Sam Peckinpaugh’s THE WILD BUNCH, at 10:15pE.

Wed., Mar. 16 at 8pE—CONAN THE BARBARIAN vs. CONAN THE DESTROYER

It’s Schwarzenegger vs. Schwarzenegger as the ultimate action hero battles himself for cinema supremacy, starring as a skilled swordsman out for revenge in CONAN THE BARBARIAN, with James Earl Jones. And Arnold is back on a quest for a magical crystal in CONAN THE DESTROYER, at 10:10pE.

Thurs., Mar. 17 at 8pE—HANNIBAL vs. RED DRAGON

Dr. Lecter invites you to dinner in this frightful face-off starring Anthony Hopkins, as the wanted cannibal seeks a fresh start in Italy inHANNIBAL, with Julianne Moore. Then, Hopkins helps Edward Norton hunt down a mysterious maniac in RED DRAGON, with Ralph Fiennes, at 10:15pE.

Fri., Mar. 18 at 8pE—SPACE COWBOYS vs. THE RIGHT STUFF

Astronauts go toe-to-toe in an out-of-this-world throw-down, starring Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, and James Garner as aging engineers in SPACE COWBOYS. Then, Sam Shepard and Scott Glenn put a new spin on the space program in THE RIGHT STUFF, at 10:15pE.
