Traffic Coordinator

We are seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our dynamic Denver team.

Duties will include:

  • Building of AXS playlists/logs
  • Managing traffic of commercial spots and interstitials
  • Providing traffic reports to Sales Staff and other recipients
  • Working closely with the promotions department to ensure delivery and accuracy of all promos
  • Creation of program and event formats
  • Building of breaks for live events
  • Building alternate back-up logs for live events
  • Working closely with Master Control operators to time out logs and ensure accuracy of broadcast
  • Excellent team player with strong ability to perform under pressure
  • Experience using VCI, or similar traffic system is required
  • Experience using SIMS program management system is a benefit


Creative Director

Position Summary:

Establish, develop and implement AXS TV’s overall brand image and creative strategies in support of AXS TV’s business goals. The Creative Director will lead the creative team in developing and implementing impactful marketing campaigns and materials for on-air promotion including spots, stunts, interstitials, print, online, collateral materials as well as off-air cross-platform advertising.


  • Help create and build AXS TV’s brand position, image & personality
  • Provide the critical thinking that questions the status quo to develop break-through creative campaigns that will drive the channel’s awareness/positioning and tune-in
  • Manage creative staff to develop and execute on-air promotion, off-air advertising & collateral materials
  • Direct in-house creative, production and oversee post-production elements
  • Serve as an in-house agency for all creative needs for affiliate sales, ad sales, digital, programming and PR
  • Develop and motivate department staff
  • Work with the head of on-air promos to write and produce on-going projects
  • Oversee the creative developed by outside services including, creative vendors, freelancers (producers, designers, editors & preditors)
  • Develop and oversee on-air promotions and creative production budget
  • Research and recommend new technology, equipment and materials as they pertain to creative marketing needs for the network
  • Leverage the budget for optimal impact. Oversee budget planning, tracking and allocations


  • 7 years in a creative on-air marketing role in the television industry
  • A successful track record with hands on experience in on-air promotion, advertising and development of collateral material
  • Knowledge of television post-production procedures, workflows and technology, including digital file formats (eg: Quicktime)
  • Promotional reel that demonstrates originality, innovation and creative and which includes both and footage-based creative campaigns and live action
  • Proven experience developing campaigns that flow across all media
  • Can create and implement processes and workflows to effectively handle quantity and quality of projects
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Previous supervisory experience managing employees and outside freelancers/vendors
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects. Additional Training in Illustrator, LightWave 3D, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere is desirable
  • Proficiency in a Mac OS X environment with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Acrobat. Demonstrated knowledge of templates, master pages and styles

AXS TV has an immediate opening for an On-Air Promotions Preditor


  • Include writing, producing, and editing high concept promos for our on-air promotions department


  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis in Premiere Pro
  • Prior experience cutting music videos / concert promos is a plus
  • A good ear for music / audio editing is also key
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as collaborate and meet tight deadlines

VOD/FOD Coordinator - part-time

We are looking for a part time (20-25 hours a week) VOD/FOD Coordinator to join our Denver team!


  • Ingest, process and deliver VOD/FOD content for AXS TV and HDNET MOVIES per multiple client specifications including video file, XML and artwork creation
  • Proficiency with Cable Labs metadata specifications
  • Proficiency with multiple video codecs including audio and video specifications
  • Troubleshoot as needed when problems arise
  • Process content for VOD marketing stunts as needed
  • Work under deadlines and extreme time constraints


  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Operational knowledge of broadcast production equipment and technologies
  • Hands on experience with video on demand file processing and packaging helpful
  • Familiarity with content delivery methods and systems including Aspera and FTP helpful
  • Effective communication skills with all departments, staff and clients in order to communicate potential, real and or related issues, concerns or problems with content processing and delivery
  • Strong personal organization, prioritization, time management and planning skills are required.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software programs, Word and Excel preferred
  • Ability to work nights and weekends. Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives


Master Control Operator

We are seeking a qualified person to join our team of Master Control Operators for AXS TV and HDNET MOVIES. Broadcasting experience a plus, computer skills a must. Trouble shooting skills and logical thinking is an asset. Applicant must be motivated and able to work as a team member and also work alone.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, monitoring of daily broadcasts to meet all technical specs, ingesting programs for server playback, adjusting daily playlists for three separate networks, maintaining transmitter logs, switching commercial inserts for live events, transfer of and inclusion of closed captioning for programs. Applicant will need to grasp technical flow of programming in Master Control and be able to identify and respond immediately to any problem.

This is a shift position working 4 - 10 hour days from 10pm to 8am.

Broadcast Engineer - Denver

AXSTV is currently seeking a Broadcast Engineer. Join a skilled and innovative engineering team. This position will primarily be responsible (in collaboration) for implementation and daily maintenance of HDTV broadcast facilities and down-linking live events for processing and re-transmission


  • Minimum five years engineering experience in a master control, broadcast or studio production environment
  • Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Must be able to manage his/her self
  • Computer and networking skills

  • Mac/Adobe Premiere experience
  • IT/Networking Knowledge
  • C and Ku band up-link experience
  • TV production and truck remote experience
  • Understanding of MPEG and its tables
