On-Air Graphics Coordinator - Full Time

The On-Air Graphics Coordinator will be an active member of the AXS TV Marketing Team, working with both creative and traffic teams to strategically plan on-air messaging and to assist in guiding the design and look for the on-air elements. This position will also play a role as liaison between the Marketing Team and Master Control to have full knowledge of the systems in play and how to best maximize the abilities our equipment in order to achieve content marketing goals.

Job Duties

  • Manage graphics from conceptualization to completion including lower thirds
  • Review, proof existing graphics requests
  • Provide final evaluation of prepared graphics, ensuring elements are accurate, error-free
  • Assist Art Director and graphic design team in assigning and scheduling all broadcast design project requests
  • Manage the production logistics for a variety of design projects including animated/text banners, logo bugs, end-credit and network/show packaging.
  • Manage all broadcast asset requests, including logos, packages, etc.
  • Maintain archive and traffic assets to internal teams and outside vendors upon request.


  • Ability to manage multiple, timely priorities simultaneously, utilizing advanced multitasking skills; ability to filter and direct attention to immediate needs
  • Strong grammar, punctuation, spelling and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, ranging from senior leadership and producers to technical playback operators and graphics artists
  • Self motivator and resourceful; able to work and seek answers independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail This position will be responsible for the design, preparation, scheduling, and execution of all on air graphics (or secondary events) running through our master control facility. This also include being on-hand to execute graphics for live events when needed. The On-Air Graphics Coordinator will also be responsible for any additional manual insertions into the playlist for special events that cannot be scheduled by our traffic department.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word and Excel
  • Must be proficient with Chyron ​'s Channelbox including Lyric Pro software​ as well as ​ ​Adobe's Photoshop
  • Experience scheduling graphics in a broadcast traffic system helpful
  • Experience building graphics in on-air automation systems helpful, specifically Snell's ICE Channel-In-A-Box

Master Control Operator

We are seeking a qualified person to join our team of Master Control Operators for AXS TV and HDNet Movies. Broadcasting experience a plus, computer skills a must. Trouble shooting skills and logical thinking is an asset. Applicant must be motivated and able to work as a team member and also work alone.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, monitoring of daily broadcasts to meet all technical specs, file transfer and ingesting of programs for server playback to air. Adjusting daily playlists for three separate networks while working closely with traffic to ensure accurate programming. Switching commercial inserts for live events, transfer of and inclusion of closed captioning for programs as well as monitoring DPI’s for local inserts. Applicant will need to grasp technical flow of programming in Master Control and be able to identify and respond immediately to any problem.

This is a shift position working 4 - 10 hour days from 10pm to 8am.

E2 (Second Engineer)

AXS TV is currently seeking an E2 to help on our production truck with our sports and entertainment departments.

Job Responsibilities for a Second Engineer (E2)

  • ​Work closely with and support the Engineer-In-Charge (EIC)​ on the following items:
    • Manage all aspects of the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events
    • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the truck
    • Track and report on equipment and system repair and maintenance status as well as following up on these issues
    • Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the mobile unit
    • Provide exceptional on-site client service and technical support
    • Prepare technical reports at the conclusion of each event
    • Operate satellite transmission equipment to send and receive satellite feeds to Denver Master Control
    • ​Travel to remote events nationwide​ ​mostly on weekends​

Qualifications for an​ E2:

  • Strong technical skills are required including a solid understanding of computers and equipment
  • ​2+ years experience in remote broadcast engineering
  • Solid working knowledge of broadcast technology and broadcast equipment
  • Familiarity with audio, visual, and graphic systems used in mobile television units
  • Excellent communications skills are essential in order to have positive interactions with our clients while still getting the job done
  • Must be able to lift up 50-75 lbs
