Senior Director of Public Relations - Los Angeles
The Sr. Director of Public Relations is responsible for the management and development, production and dissemination of communications materials to help support business, trade & consumer communications. Responsibilities include managing the development, implementation, and coordination of internal and external public relations strategies, with the goal of establishing and maintaining a favorable image of the company with affiliates, programming partners, fellow employees and the public. Responsibilities also include working with agencies, business partners, key vendors, and if needed, acting as the corporate spokesperson to the media, analysts and the general public at large.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write press releases, pitch relevant story ideas, and handle assorted media issues.
- Project lead on select AXS TV Networks PR projects including: tech, affiliate marketing, consumer marketing, digital initiatives, personnel, operations, more.
- Ability to work closely with the management team to understand activities and essential business strategies
- Work with original programming executives, legal, and programming publicity team on original programming development announcements. Manage PR relationships with production partners as needed.
- Manage and oversee press area and related corporate/investor press sites/materials;
- Monitor and engage company social media activity on an "as needed" basis
- Regularly identify new press targets and maintain and update the department's media lists and online press room.
- Establishes new publicity strategies and manages on-going efforts for all AXS TV programming
- Establish and maintain dynamic relationships with both trade and consumer media and maintains a diverse base of media contacts
- Lead creation of all written press materials including press releases, media pitches and follow-up correspondence
Required Skills
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations or similar discipline is preferred; minimum five years of experience in a consumer or business-oriented public relations environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Multichannel video PR experience preferred, though not required.
- Excellent Microsoft Office, Public Relations/Internet skills with a demonstrated acumen.
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication, listening, facilitation, interpersonal, conflict resolution and investigative skills and possess the proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Proven ability to work as a team player, fostering and maintaining productive relationships with both outside vendor/partners and various company departments.
HDNet Movies Programming Coordinator - Denver
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General office management and support for HDNet Movies staff
- Research and identify new acquisitions (studio and independent licensors)
- Manage and publish Facebook and Twitter correspondence based on current broadcast promotions
- Assisting with all incoming traffic and log building in ORION
- Coordinate the export of promotable video for website promotion
- Manage the delivery and shipping of new and returning HDCams, coordinating with Director of QC and Manager of Broadcast Library
- Communicate and track delivery of new screeners for acquisition
- Pre-screen films and make recommendations for possible acquisition
- Manage screener library and database (kids and general entertainment)
- Write acquired film descriptions
- Data input into SIMS Broadcast database
- Generate monthly acquisition and programming reports
- Create new theatrical film release reports – Identify possible promotion connection with new releases and trends with films under license
- Additional acquisition assignments and data entry as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Content and Social Media Strategist - Denver
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the content and social media strategist manages the Facebook, Twitter, and other social presence of both AXS TV and our individual programs, as well as being a part of the broader digital team helping to conceive and execute marketing initiatives of all kinds. Responsibilities include:
- Owning multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts for the station and our programs
- Developing a unique editorial voice and content calendar for each
- Writing great content for Facebook, Twitter, and other channels, and where appropriate working with designers, developers, photographers, videographers, and others to develop multimedia assets like infographics and videos
- Live-tweeting during televised concerts, festivals, and other live events
- Working with others in the digital and marketing teams to brainstorm and execute new approaches to both social media and broader marketing initiatives
- Managing media spend on Facebook, Twitter, and other digital properties
- Engaging directly with fans and managing the AXS TV digital community
- Managing the archive of AXS TV assets, including videos and photos
- Keeping senior leadership and other stakeholders apprised of progress
- Tracking outcomes and metrics and continuously working to improve performance across channels
- Contribute substantively to creative and strategy conversations
- Handle other marketing and project-management tasks at the direction of leadership
Qualifications:
- Experience in social media management, including running large enterprise accounts in the music or entertainment industry
- An exceptionally creative mind
- Excellent writing skills
- A deep understanding of social media, including tactical familiarity with Facebook and Twitter's algorithms, platforms, and advertising products
- Experience working within entertainment and digital media industries, and an understanding and ability to excel in these industries

- Proven ability to successfully meet schedules and achieve deliverables

Senior Marketing Manager - Denver
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for leading marketing campaigns for AXS TV by articulating a strategy and action plan and coordinating internal creative resources to promote shows, concerts, live events, digital initiatives, and other projects. Working closely with the marketing, PR, affiliates, and digital teams, the project manager's role is to:
- Manage all aspects of a marketing campaign from concept to execution
- Organize and lead brainstorms at the outset of a project and help define project goals, strategy, success metrics, creative concepts, and action plan
- Develop a roadmap for project execution, documenting and assign deliverables to members of the marketing, PR, digital, and other teams
- Work with colleagues to make sure work is done on time and at a high level, and any changes of plans are communicated
- Keep senior leadership and other stakeholders apprised of progress
- Track outcomes and metrics and continuously work to improve our processes and products
- Contribute substantively to creative and strategy conversations
- Handle other marketing and project-management tasks at the direction of leadership
In short, the job of the senior marketing manager is to make sure our marketing campaigns go well, and figure out how to fix them when they don't.

Unit Manager - Denver
Reporting to the Live Events Director, Accounting and Management, the Unit Manager is accountable for approving all invoices and coordinating cost tracking and managing budgets for individual events. The UM will work closely with the Production Managers to access what resources are required for each shoot and be responsible for cost control, timely invoice approval and payment updates to vendors and clients. The Unit Manager must have experience managing events on mobile TV productions, familiarity with resources and costs needed to execute live events.
- 3-5 years experience on mobile TV productions
- Ability to function independently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs
- Ability to learn new software - ScheduALL
- Ability to manage large scale projects and ability to coordinate multiple efforts

Master Control Operator - Denver
Position Information:
This is a great opportunity for a motivated person with an eye for detail to break into television broadcasting. Broadcasting experience a plus, computer skills a must. Applicant will be trained to be an on-air broadcast operator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring of daily broadcasts to meet all technical specs, ingesting programs for server playback, adjusting daily playlists for two separate networks, maintaining transmitter logs, switching commercial inserts for live events, transfer of and inclusion of closed captioning for programs. Applicant will need to grasp technical flow of programming in Master Control and be able to identify and respond immediately to any problem. Trouble shooting skills and logical thinking is an asset.
This is a shift position working four 10-hour days from 10pm to 8am.
