Los Angeles (Dec. 15, 2017) – HDNET MOVIES rolls out the red carpet for Hollywood’s biggest night in the second-annual “And The Oscar® Goes To… Presented By Richard Roeper”—a month-long 75-movie event hosted by the acclaimed film critic, who will be on hand to introduce each film and share his thoughts on their cinematic impact. The monumental event is set to be the biggest compilation of nothing but Oscar®-winning films on television, featuring both modern and classic films airing 24 hours a day from Thursday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, March 4, the evening of the 90th Academy Awards.

The lineup spans a wide variety of eras and genres, from Golden Age icons to modern favorites, and everything in between. Highlights include recent Best Picture and Best Director winners BIRDMAN, by Alejandro G. IñárrituMel Gibson’s BRAVEHEART; the Coen Brothers’ NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN; and Clint Eastwood’s MILLION DOLLARY BABY. Other highlights include THE FIGHTER with award-winning performances by Christian Bale and Melissa Leo; multi-award winner WITNESS starring Harrison Ford; Barbra Streisand’s Best Actress-winning role in FUNNY GIRL; Best Picture winner THE STING with Paul Newman and Robert Redford; Best Song & Score winner BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S starring Audrey HepburnNatalie Portman’s Best Actress-winning performance in BLACK SWANSteven Soderbergh’s Best Director-winning TRAFFIC with Best Supporting Actor Benicio Del Toro and many more. A complete list of films and dates is forthcoming.
