HDNET MOVIES heads south of the border with a trio of hits starring Antonio Banderas in the “Cinco de Mayo Movie Marathon” on Thursday, May 5. The festivities begin at 8pE with Banderas as El Mariachi, a gun-slinging guitarist out for revenge in the Robert Rodriguez thriller DESPERADO, with Quentin Tarantino and Salma Hayek. Then, El Mariachi is back in action, teaming up with eccentric FBI agent Johnny Depp to take down a drug lord in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO, at 9:50pE. And Anthony Hopkins trains Banderas to be the ultimate hero in THE MASK OF ZORRO, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, at 11:35pE.
